VJ Matias Does His Cardio in Acienda
If you’re into running, you’ve probably heard of VJ Matias. A respected coach in the running community who started sharing his journey on social media in 2023. He inspired many to reach for their goals as he conquered the Luneta to Tagaytay 60KM Ultramarathon and the Bataan Death March Ultra: BDM 102 just recently.
As a resident of Silang, Cavite, VJ Matias usually shops at Acienda Designer Outlet for shoes for the kids he teaches in his running clinic. And on Global Running Day (June 4, 2025), he went on a different kind of cardio–shopping!
First, he went to six different outlets to try out their available running shoes:
1️⃣ Adidas Outlet – Buy 1 Get 1 deals and 30-70% off items greeted VJ Matias when he entered Adidas Outlet at the South Wing. He tried on the Ultraboost 5, which was available at a Buy 1 Get 1 deal for Php 10,000 at the time.
2️⃣ World Balance Outlet – World Balance is a local brand that has many affordable choices, like these Speed Runners at only Php 3,299 that VJ Matias tried on.
3️⃣ Nike Factory Store – Ofcourse, he can’t skip Nike! He tried NFS Acienda’s Pegasus Turbo Next Nature. Spoilers alert, it was a snug fit, and VJ Matias likes his shoes to have a bit more room. The Pegasus Turbo Next Nature is only at Php 3,295 from the SRP of Php 8,395 though, such a steal!
4️⃣The Sports Warehouse – The Sports Warehouse houses alot of brands such as Skechers, New Balance, Fitflop, Airwalk, Nike, Adidas, HOKA, and Converse. But VJ Matias was there to check out New Balance running shoes, and he found the Propel v5. It is carbon-plated, ideal for race day. And it’s on sale from Php 8,995 to Php 4,497!
5️⃣ Peak Sports Outlet – The hunt doesn’t stop for VJ Matias as he checks out Peak– an underrated brand. Peak’s choices are affordable yet can perform, just like these Taichi running shoes for only Php 2,995 from Php 5,895. Their designs are also ~cute~. VJ Matias considers Peak Outlet Acienda for when he needs to buy shoes for his students next time around.
6️⃣ PUMA Outlet – VJ Matias’ final stop is the PUMA outlet. He found these PUMA Redeem Pro Racer for only Php 3,633 from Php 5,190. It’s a good beginner shoe for PUMA lovers.
After shoe hunting, it’s time for shopping! VJ Matias confessed that he doesn’t shop without his wife Sheli, and so he mostly shopped for Sheli and his daughter!
He shopped in Giordano for shirts, New Era for his new trail hat, Vans for some new sneakers (that aren’t for running), and the Style n’ Comfort for sneakers for his daughter.
