Fueling the Young Dreams of Salt

Meet Salt Balasan, an eleven-year-old athlete from Trece Martires, Cavite. She came from a family of athletes: her dad, a cyclist, and her brother, a gymnast. At six years old, she showed potential in sports, and since then, her father becomes her running coach. Her determination led her to the 2025 Regional Athletic Association Meet (RAAM) last February 2025.

The Acienda Marketing Team met Salt last April 13, 2025 during one of the Cafe Agapita Run Clubs’ events. She was the youngest of the runners but one of the fastest. That’s when we saw her running shoes. Her running shoes needed to retire, and with Cinco Pueblos’ initiative, we invited Salt to Acienda Designer Outlet on June 18, 2025 to shop for new shoes.

Cinco Pueblos, The Windmill Run’s organizer, bought new Nike Zoom Fly 6 as her race-day shoes. The Acienda team then let her shop in Vans, where she picked new shoes, a matching backpack, and a new shirt for school.

With these gifts, we’re hoping to fuel Salt Balasan’s big dreams.
